“Special Kind of Magic” was birthed out of my love for all my soul-sister friends. The women who have supported me through my many up’s and down’s throughout my life. I am grateful to be surrounded by strong ladies who lift me when my grey days seem overwhelming. They laugh with me when my jokes are terrible. And they listen intently, even when I’ve told the same story 100x’s.

Featuring one of the these fabulous ladies, Des Moines based singer-songwriter, Abbie Sawyer agreed to help me bring this tune to life with her sweet and cheery harmonies! The 70’s feel was a must and as I chatted to Goldenbear Studio genius Bryan Vanderpool, we knew our darling pal Gabe Scheid needed to be brought in to lay down his dreamy flute tracks!

Another simple song shining light on the special folks in my universe.
